Zeke suspended 6 games – NFL lost their minds

First off, I dont think he’s guilty. Take a step back and imagine you are Elliot. You are coming off a massive rookie year and have just been suspended 6 games for domestic abuse. If you knew you were guilty, would you appeal and possibly go to court? You know details of the case will almost certainly be leaked to the media. So no, you dont appeal. You shut the fuck up and take the 6 games. If you shut up and take it, this goes away and people forget. Going to battle with the NFL in court, drags this out and can only hurt your future. He’s either innocent or really dumb. Most of the details in the media, like the tweets below, lean towards Zeke being innocent.

BUT, even if Ezekiel Elliot did beat the shit out of his girlfriend, the still NFL got this really wrong.

Lets just say for the sake of argument, that Zeke really physically assaulted his girlfriend 5 times in a 3 day span. The NFL decided that a 6 game suspension was the best way to punish a violent crime against a woman. Think about that; 6 games for a 225 lb., world class athlete going full Mayweather on a 120 lb. woman. Josh Gordon was suspended indefinitely by the NFL for smoking weed. Something that is LEGAL in Alaska, California, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, & OUR NATION’S Capital! Likewise, Justin Blackmon hasn’t played a game in three years because the NFL suspended him indefinitely for drinking too much alcohol. ALCOHOL…

My point is, the NFL has taken a hard stance on the so called drug policy, so why haven’t they done the same with assault and domestic abuse, you know…. actual crimes? If Josh Gordon and Justin Blackmon have been ousted from league for partying, then violent crimes (especially against women) needs similar (more severe) suspensions. Roger Goodell is once again is proving to the world that he is a fucking joke.
