How’d we do on the article last week? Ohh you know, nailed T1-T4 with good options the rest of the way. If you played the best available from each tier you made money.
Full disclosure, the wife was out of town last weekend. You know what that means….
We got JUST a bit fucked up on Friday. Woke up on the couch at 5am with every light and TV on in the house. What does that mean? My roster construction was garbage and I had a losing day for the first time this season. Back on the saddle this week.
Will Man City ever stop scoring? Probably not and you need SHARES of this game. With a total of 4, it is by far and away the highest total on the slate. Will Aguero play? Sterling, Sane, Silva and Jesus have put in a lot of minutes lately. One note: Burnley have been tough on the road. They’ve played Everton, Tottenham, Liverpool and Chelsea on the road….murder’s row. They are undefeated with 2 wins and 2 ties. Keep that in mind…
United get Huddersfield. Crystal Palace looked great last week. Leicester just fired their manager. Gabbiadini scored 2 goals last weekend for Southampton. Let’s look at the tiers.
I mentioned the Burnley info above. City just can’t stop scoring. KDB probably has the highest floor in the tier. My guess is Jesus doesn’t play. Aguero and Lukaku are my favorite plays in the tier. Huddersfield came out on fire but have since come back to earth losing 6-0 combined to the Swans and Tottenham their last two.
TIER 1: Lukaku, Aguero, KDB, Jesus
Miki has fallen off a cliff with his form. Rashford was the savior in the Champion’s League mid week but picked up an injury. Sane and Silva might be the plays here. Burnley is a team that I could see frustrating the young Sane. He’s hit or miss.
TIER 2: Silva, Sane
Only Newcastle and Southampton at home in this tier. Leicester away after firing their manager…does that provide a spark? I don’t think so. Clement has the Swans playing well and importantly, not conceding goals. Gabbiadini had 2 the last time out but get a frustrating West Brom team. I’m not going to get cute here and stick with the unspectacular Matt Ritchie. Martial does start and is likely to get 90 minutes. I’m getting some shares.
TIER 3: Ritchie, Martial, Vardy, Gabbiadini (GPP ONLY!!!)
A lot of good options here. Zaha is BACK baby. He looked very sharp last week. Mooy returns to the starting lineup but faces United and probably won’t see a ton of the ball. Tammy Abraham will be fresh in our minds after 2 goals last week. I’ll have a share or two. Bernardo Silva gets a rare start but won’t complete the 90 and hasn’t really impressed me much this season. Joselu gets a start up front at home and could be worth a flier on a team.
TIER 4: Zaha, Abraham, Mooy, Silva
He’s at the bottom of the tier but I like his spot today. I think Stoke puts 1 or 2 past Bournemouth and Jese is most likely to do it. Brady is solid but another that won’t see a ton of the ball. Ayew could be the play here. Valencia will scrap but hasn’t been bombing down the right like he used to. Don’t forget about Soares. He’s the late game play and you have the option of Redmond or Phillips if for some reason he doesn’t start.
TIER 5: Ayew, Soares, Jese, Valencia
I think it’s Butland or bust. Stoke have only kept one clean sheet all year and were just shelled for 7 by City but Bournemouth have only scored 1 goal in 4 on the road. You could also use Fabianski and renewed Crystal Palace keeper in Speroni. Pair Zaha with Speroni and for sure Butland if you play Jese.
TIER 6: Butland, Speroni, Fabianksi
